The Twelfth International Adult Aural Rehabilitation Conference
May 4 – 6, 2025
The Hearing Rehabilitation Foundation (HRF) hosted the First International Adult Aural Rehabilitation Conference in Portland, Maine, in 2001, and we are now very happy to announce that we will be hosting the twelfth meeting in this series in Woburn, Massachusetts. The conference will be held on May 4 – 6, 2025 at the Woburn Elks Lodge.
For participants coming from outside the US, there is the opportunity to attend the American Cochlear Implant Alliance Conference prior to attending the Adult AR Conference. CI2025:BOSTON Conference runs from April 30 – May 3, 2025, https://www.acialliance.org/page/ci2025.

The theme of the Twelfth International Adult AR conference will be “Aural Rehabilitation: Where the Magic Happens!” We are calling for papers that embrace the theme of providing AR services of all types in the office/clinic and/or in the surrounding community. We welcome any papers on innovations in this increasingly important area.

The Conference will start with a reception at the HRF Office in Woburn, MA on the evening of Sunday, May 4, 2025. This informal event will run from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and will provide a chance to catch up with old friends, and to meet participants from other places. Transportation will be provided from local hotel if needed.
The meeting will run for two full days, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and will feature a small faculty of Invited Speakers, and contributed papers. The conference will also include a panel of adults with hearing loss speaking about the effects of auditory training on their lives.

Registration is now open, and we are offering an Early Bird fee of $300 until December 31, 2024. The registration fee after this date will increase to $350. The registration fee after March 28, 2025 will be $400. This fee provides one conference registration, which includes light breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon coffee breaks on the two days of the conference, the Welcome Reception on May 4, 2025, and a copy of the Conference Handbook. A Conference Dinner is planned for the evening of May 5, but will not be covered by the registration fee. A special registration rate for students is available upon request.

We are encouraging all participants to stay near the Conference Center. We will be contacting local hotels to obtain a special conference rate for registrants. A list of hotels and details of how to obtain these special rates will be sent once you have registered for the conference. Woburn is within easy reach of Boston Logan Airport, and is conveniently located near the intersection of Routes 95 and 93 for those driving to the venue.
